FOREVER THE SUN SHALL RISE

BEHIND DARKNESS OF SKIES
WHERE TRUE DEMONS DO LIE
FOREVER THE SUN SHALL RISE

THROUGH PERILOUS TIDES
UTMOST FEAR IN YOUR EYES
FOREVER THE SUN SHALL RISE

DESPITE PAIN OF DEMISE
AND A HEART FULL OF CRIES
FOREVER THE SUN SHALL RISE

WHEN JOY IS ROBBED OF ITS PRIDE
WITHOUT LOVE TO CONFIDE
FOREVER THE SUN SHALL RISE

REASON TO SING

A BIRD SINGS A SONG
FOR ONLY A MOMENT OF HOPE
CAGED WITHIN ITS MIND
RECEIVING FREEDOM FROM EVERY NOTE
LOST BETWEEN THE TIME
AND PLACES TO AND FRO,
SEEKING ONLY TO FIND
AN ANCHOR FOR ITS SOUL

JOYS OF PAIN

IF LIFE WERE FULL OF JOY
WE WOULD NEVER KNOW OF PAIN
WE WOULD NEVER KNOW
THAT OF SUCH A LOW
THERE IS MORE THAN LIFE TO GAIN
BE IT THE DARKEST OF A DAY
OR THE COLDNESS OF A RAIN
THE TIME OF STRIFE
IN THE TIME OF LIFE
ALLOWS JOY TO EXIT PAIN

UNBOUND

MAD ARE THE OCEANS
THAT RISE INSIDE YOUR EYES
THE CRASH OF EACH WAVE
POUNDS
AS A HEART FULL OF LIES

BE IT LOVES TRUE DEMISE,
OH A LOVE NEVER FOUND
YET A LOVES TRUEST FORM
IS A LOVE UNBOUND

MIND, HEART, SOUL

IF THE MINDS OF LOVERS
COULD READ ONE ANOTHER
TO EACH OTHER
WHAT WOULD THEY SAY?

WOULD THEY SPEAK OF THE THOUGHTS
THEY WONDERED,
OR OF THE DREAMS THAT PASS THROUGH THE DAY?
WOULD THEY THEY TALK OF THE MEMORIES
OLD AND NEW
OR OF THOSE THAT LIE IN THE WAIT?

IF THEIR HEARTS COULD BEAT WITH EACH OTHER
WHAT RHYTHM WOULD SOUND OF THEIR BEAT?
WOULD THEY BEAT IN THE RHYTHM OF LOVERS,
OR AS STRANGERS WHO LOVE IN RETREAT?

IF THEIR SOULS WERE MEANT TO MATCH
THEN HOW OR WHEN WOULD THEY KNOW?
FOREVER THEIR SOULS SHALL WANDER
FOR A MIND AND A HEART TO HOLD

MEANINGFUL TIME

IF LOVE WAS MEANT
FOR YOU AND I
THEN WE SHALL SEE
THROUGH TIME

IF IT WAS LOVE THAT WAS ONCE
THEN IT IS LOVE
THAT HAS LEFT
A NEW HOME OF IT'S OWN, TO FIND

WHAT WAS LOVE FOR YOU
WAS NOT LOVE FOR ME
MISFORTUNE,
THAT MOMENT IN TIME

BUT DISCOVERED WAS LOVE
NO MOMENT TOO SOON
WHEN YOUR NAME WAS NO LONGER,
MINE.

A little about someone you don't know.

Allow me to introduce myself; I am Sidney Little, welcome to my blog! Through this medium I hope to showcase my various forms of artwork while also providing a general sense of who I am (as if I knew who I was my whole life). Up until this point of my life I have never felt like my art work was "amazing" or even close to "good'. This belief came strictly from the premise of "what will others think?" It amazes me how we, in the most trying of times, tend to be our biggest barriers when striving for "success". You may see several words highlighted throughout this post, reason being is because I feel that these words contain power and value. They each posses the power to either enhance or destroy a creative mind, while also giving a sense of worth to the creator themselves. Sadly I used these words to destroy and devalue my mind and self, causing the construction of a barrier that seemed impossible to overcome. For years I struggled with the idea of my image, yet there was nothing wrong with it. My life, my ideas, my art were accepted by everyone except for me. I mean I knew that I produced art with the intent of being good, but,  I just didn't how good my production actually was. To those who thought of me as talented I must have appeared pretty down on myself. This led me to find that: KNOWING ONE'S SELF IS THE BEGINNING OF A SUCCESSFUL MINDSET. With a changed mindset, I allowed growth in areas that I held back all this time. Most importantly, my confidence grew. So much to the point that all I expect from my stuff is "amazing", "good", and for it to reap "success". The domino effect of a changing mindset also caused for that barrier (myself), the one that seemed impossible to overcome, to break. Thus motivating me to share my art with the world. I hope to inspire with the same inspiration that impassioned me with my poems, songs, pictures and general blogs. Enjoy, Digest, Respond. Thanks to all, Sid Little.
